Broncos: Mike Bell at #1 on the depth chart

Mike Shanahan has announced that Mike Bell, an undrafted rookie free agent out of the University of Arizona, is the number #1 running back on the depth chart, ahead of Tatum Bell and Ron Dayne. I may question a lot of things Shanahan does, but when he does that running back depth chart, you know he's right. He could put Rashaan Salaam at #1 and I would not doubt that he'd have a 1,500 yard season.

Mike Bell has shown a good grasp of the offense, practiced very well, and shown that he has the attributes the Broncos look for in running backs: quickness, power between the tackles, and a "one-cut mentality." He received a $20,000 signing bonus.

And Jay Cutler passed BVP to take over the #2 quarterback spot. Of course.
